We believe teachers should have autonomy over their continued learning. 1:1 coaching content is driven by teacher-identified needs and occurs with a trusted educator who understands what it means to lead instruction.
As Coaching unfolds, our team collects data to monitor the impact our coaching has on the math classroom.
Teachers sign-up for as many coaching sessions as they want throughout the year and are able to work directly with their Coach to select the times that work best in their schedule.
Based on teacher interest and Coach availability, coaching and PLCs continue through the summer months to ensure teachers have the support they need as they prepare for the next school year.
We know that coaching is only effective when teachers and Coaches can establish trust. That's why we ensure all topics discussed during coaching sessions are confidential.
Throughout the calendar year, Rekindle Education Coaches and staff offer small group professional learning opportunities for teachers participating in our coaching. Based on availability, we also open these sessions up for all staff in our partner districts to join, free-of-charge.
Our offerings change and grow based on teachers needs and requests. Our current and previous small group topics can be found under "PD Topics".
Rekindle PLCs provide space for teachers to deepen knowledge of math content and instructional practices alongside peer educators - with an intentional emphasis on infusing more joy and relevance in math class. PLCs are expertly facilitated by Coaches and staff who customize sessions for each district, with agendas developed based on district and teacher needs.
PLCs typically occur monthly and are held in-person or virtually based on scheduling needs. In between synchronous sessions, teachers have access to a learning platform that allows them to continue working with Coaches, staff, and peer educators.
